Family Picnic

This Saturday is the annual Word of Life Nicaragua Family Picnic.  The churches that we work with invite family and friends to this activity with the purpose of reaching them for Christ.  It's a day full of fun, games, and competitions for all ages.  Please keep this event in your prayers as many people will be presented with the gospel.

Lanzamientos and Bible Club stuff

Lanzamientos are the Bible Club kick-offs that we have once a year every March.  The youth begin their annual Bible Club program within their church.  They host sports events, plan funny skits, and create great opportunities for many youth to attend who would otherwise not step foot in a church.  They hear about Christ and learn about how they can get connected as an ongoing Bible Club member. Here are some pictures taken from lanzamientos and/or Bible Clubs that we recently attended.

 

SIDA vs. VIDA

The two week SIDA vs. VIDA outreach was a great success!  We traveled around visiting various schools, churches, and prisons with Adrian Ferrari, a Word of Life missionary who has AIDS.  He shared about AIDS and his powerful personal testimony of Christ transforming His life.  We were able to reach out to 6,133 people with the gospel and 351 responded in small group or one on one by putting their faith in Christ.  Check out the pictures to see what it was like!

2 weeks of good news

Adrian Ferrari is a missionary with Word of Life Argentina and he has a powerful testimony of how faith in Christ transformed his life.  He used to live on the streets and be addicted to drugs yet came to know Christ through a Word of Life camp in Argentina.  He is HIV positive due to his previous lifestyle of drugs.  God has given him a great ministry of sharing with people about AIDS and the hope there is in Christ. 

He arrived to Managua today and will be with us for 2 weeks.  We have an average of 3 presentations scheduled each day in various schools, on radio, possibly tv, etc.  He'll share his presentation and we'll also have a time after the presentation to share the gospel in small group and one-on-one.  Please be praying for this time and for all that God wants to do. 

Living Hope Spring Break Team

We had a wonderful time with the Living Hope Spring Break Team this past week.  We spent our time outside of Managua in an area called Chontales and were able to share Christ house to house and island to island.  We shared with a total of 344 people and 74 made decisions to put their faith in Christ.  Praise God for this wondeful time and the encouragement that always comes through sharing the gospel.
